Varick Janiro

central park, nyc (2025)

Hi! I'm Varick.

I'm a builder at the intersection of software, data, and design drawn to problems that need all three. Currently at Blue Shield of California Foundation as a Software Developer Intern, and finishing up my Data Science degree at UC San Diego.

Outside of work I'm usually reading, snowboarding somewhere with actual snow, or eating my way through a new city. I care a lot about craft, whether that's a clean data pipeline, a well-timed animation, or a really good bowl of katsu.

I enjoy eating, burning calories, snowboarding, talking, and reading!
